Therapy Sound · How it works

First time? Read this.

Therapy Sound is a Vancouver house-music residency — Thursdays at Hello Goodbye, every week, no exceptions. Whether you're rolling in solo for the door list or booking a table for eight, here's how the four ways in actually work, plus the practical stuff nobody tells you the first time.

Section 01 · Ways in

Four ways through the door.

Same room, same DJs, same 11pm–3am set. The difference is what you walk in with: a name on the door list, a reserved table, a birthday set-up, or a private group block.

Free · Name at door

Guest List

The default. Drop your name and party size, show ID at the door, walk in. No cover, no guaranteed seat — standing room on the floor.

What's included
  • Free entry before the cutoff
  • Skip the “not on the list” check-in
  • RSVP by 8pm Thursday — after that it's walk-in
Reserve →
Paid · Reserved seating

VIP Table

Your own table for the night with bottle service and a dedicated host. Best view of the booth, no waiting at the bar, no fighting for floor space.

What's included
  • Reserved table (4–8 guests)
  • Bottle service + mixers
  • Dedicated table host all night
  • Priority entry — skip the line

Group of 8+ · $

What's included
  • Reserved table for 8+ guests
  • Decorations + signage at the table
  • Champagne or bottle of choice
  • DJ shoutout for the birthday person
Reserve →
10+ guests · Custom

  • Quote tailored to group size
  • Direct line to a Therapy host

Section 02 · Practical bits

The stuff you'd ask a friend.

Doors, age, dress, transit, parking, accessibility — tap any row to expand. No JavaScript required.

Doors & set times

Doors open at 10:00pm. Music runs 11:00pm–3:00am — resident opens, special guest centre slot, resident closes.

The room peaks 12:30–2am. Get there before midnight if you want a clear shot at the floor.

Age & ID

19+ only — Vancouver liquor licensing. Bring government photo ID (driver's licence, passport, BC ID card). Expired ID won't work.

Dress code

Smart-casual. No shorts, no sandals, no athletic wear. Sneakers are fine if they're clean.

Dress how you'd dress for a downtown restaurant on a date — that's the bar.

Transit

Closest station is Yaletown-Roundhouse (Canada Line), a few minutes' walk to Hello Goodbye.

Trains stop running around 1am, so plan your ride home if you're staying late.

Parking

Metered street parking is free after 10pm in most of the surrounding blocks — check the signs, some restrictions linger.

For paid lots, a covered parkade is the closest option (about a 5-minute walk).

Accessibility

No step at the main entrance — level threshold from the sidewalk. The dance floor and bar are on a single ground-level slab.

Accessible washroom is on the same floor. If you need a reserved seat or extra access, email hello@therapysound.ca ahead of the night and we'll set it up.

Bag check & ID

Coat + bag check is available at the door (small fee, cash or tap). Door staff check ID and may do a quick bag look — standard for a licensed venue.

No large backpacks, no outside drinks.

Re-entry

Re-entry is allowed up until 1:30am — step out for a smoke or a phone call and door staff will wave you back in with your wristband.

After 1:30am the door closes for new entries (including re-entries), so plan accordingly.

Section 03 · After the night

It doesn't end at 3am.

Recordings and photos all post within a day or two of every Thursday — here's where to find them.
